Taylor Swift has vowed to try out new languages on tour after a humiliating experience in Asia

The country singer began her Speak Now World Tour several months ago, with show dates running until November. She has already played in Asia and Europe, explaining she loves taking to the stage as it helps her feel close to fans.

For that reason Taylor usually tries to speak to concertgoers in their native tongue, as she thinks it shows how much they mean to her. However, she's decided to re-think the strategy after things didn't go to plan recently.

' try to say a few phrases everywhere I go but in Asia I really messed it up,' she lamented. ' think they appreciated it but I'm not sure I would do that again. I've learned my lesson!'

The 21-year-old didn't reveal what slip-up she made, although it seems it was bad enough to leave her red-faced.

The star's tour has had some fun moments though, such as when she visited Brussels. She was keen to sample Belgian chocolate while in the city, so was thrilled when she came across a giant elephant carved from the sweet treat.

'Brussels is famous for its excellent chocolate, so we posed with a statue of a chocolate elephant,' she laughed.
