Gen Art Film Festival Opening Night!

Last night was the first of 7 film premiere showings at the Ziegfeld Theater where Gen Art hosted its 2011 film festival. The King Collective girls entered the red carpet with Wanderlust, Samantha Lim, editor-in-chief of Fashion Indie and fashion director of Lookbooks, and stylist Mia Morgan. We didn't forget to grab a few big buckets of popcorn and sodas to enjoy during the film. It started out with a really cute short (picture shown below) and went on to show the movie A Beginner's Guide to Endings.

The film starred Scott CaanJ.K. SimmonsTricia HelferJason JonesPaulo Costanzo and Harvey Keitel. It began with a father of five boys committing suicide and leaving them a bitter note stating that three of them are going to die because of some pills he made them take for money. Director Jonathan Sobol, who also wrote the script, was able to take the darkest theme possible and stare death in the face with comic spins making the audience burst into laughter as they followed the characters' ridiculous ways to cope with death.

We spotted Canadian Actress Shenae Grimes who stars in the new 90210.

Very Elegant Wanderlust posing at the red carpet.

The after-party was at At Vermillion, it was pretty packed when we got there so we stood near the entrance and greeted all our friends after grabbing some white wine and cocktails.  But don't worry, Keri only drank the Skinny Water they had there.

We always see this DJ at Gen Art events, she knows what she is doing- the music is always great.
