Kiss guitarist Tommy Thayer says the band are preparing to record their twentieth studio album.
Thayer spoke to BackstageAxxes at the National Association Of Music Merchants trade show in California last week.
He said that Kiss are about to begin writing and rehearsing their twentieth album, and 'we'll probably be in the studio by March'.
'Sometime this year we'll see a brand spanking new Kiss album that's gonna kick some butt,' he continued.
Thayer confirmed that the album is likely to be produced by Paul Stanley much like 2009's Sonic Boom.
Thayer has been in Kiss since 2002, replacing Ace Frehley, and appeared on Psycho Circus, KISS Symphony: Alive IV, Japanese release Jigoku-Retsuden, and Sonic Boom.
