Experience the runway in 3D, Burberry following in the footsteps of Avatar.
A fashion first and we are excited about this, Burberry's runway show for London Fashion week on February 23rd will be streamed in Live 3D in selected cities that include New York, Paris, Tokyo and Dubai.
The downside the 3D runway parties are by invite only for fashion editors and VIP guests. However Burberry redeemed themselves (somewhat) since ANYONE can watch the live runway show streamed in 2D at live.burberry.com.
Burberry’s chief creative officer Christopher Bailey told fashion industry bible WWD, ‘we are very excited to announce that we are hosting the first ever truly global fashion show… 3D technology will bring our global audience into the London show space allowing them to see the colours and fabrics, to hear the music and to be a part of that moment when it all finally comes together.’
Take note fashion world, this is the future of runway shows! Hope we see more like this but in 3D for all audiences.
